At every stamp a stack I always give a bonus project! I usually like it to be some sort of 3D item so we created a little box (using the New Envelope Maker) to hold the 5 - 3" x 3" cards that we made. Again...super fast....super cute!
I always make a ton of 3 x 3 cards! I love them to be cute and fast to make! My two favourite items from the Holiday Mini are the Festive Flurry Stamp Set Bundle (which includes the stamp set and framelits) and the Christmas Messages Stamp set! This card combines my two favourites! Everyone made 5 of these at the Stamp a Stack last week!
This was the 3rd Christmas Card we made at the Stamp a Stack/Fundraiser. I couldn't resist having everyone make some of the Circle Thinlet cards...they're so easy to make and have the amazing WOW factor of flipping when you open it up!
Here is the first card that we made at the Christmas Stamp a Stack/Fundraiser. My favourite embossing folder right now is Pretty Prints from the Holiday mini. We used that folder for the bottom of this card.
I know I've been absent from my blog this past month and I'm so very sorry about that! It's been a month of transitions and sort of learning as I go. I'm really doing ok but just needed to step back from a few things and blogging was one of them.
I have my Christmas Stamp a Stack and Fundraiser on Saturday but I'll be back on Monday to share the projects that we made!
I know I've been quiet this last couple of weeks...Kevin and I earned the Getaway Incentive Trip with Stampin' Up and were in San Diego for four days and Kevin took all last week off from work which was wonderful.
When we got back from San Diego I felt like I was so far behind in so many areas of my life....I was feeling more then overwhelmed. I'm thankful for a supportive family that have encouraged me...especially these past few weeks.
On Sunday morning I was sitting in church feel very unsettled and anxious and guess what the message was about yesterday...."facing your future with courage" based out of the book of Joshua. I felt like God was not only whispering in my ear but actually screaming His love for me ! I emailed our Pastor and told him I felt like I was the only one in the service yesterday and that his message was meant just for me (although I'm sure many others felt the same way). I left feeling like my anxiety and burdens were beginning to lift, not that I had answers to what I'm suppose to do in some areas that I'm praying about but rather I was reminded (once again...) to be strong and courageous, not out of any strength I can conjour out of myself but rather gaining that strength and courageous by leaning into my great God! I know that when the time is right that God will show me the direction He wants to take and until then...I need to trust Him. Such a simple message...something I've been taught over and over again but yet at almost 50 years old it's a lesson I'm still learning. Like myself...I'm sure some of you can understand what I'm going through right now. I had lunch today with a dear friend who breathed new life into me...encouraged me and God used her to give me strength and courage...our God is good...He's very good!
Today's card was one that my monthly club ladies made this month and I had no idea how significant it would be...it once again reminded...be Thankful...always
This past Sunday we have the absolute blessing and honour of witnessing Jessica and Scott committing to raising their sons in a Christ centred home. It goes without saying but I'll say it again...Kevin and I are so proud of Jessica and Scott !!!! They are an amazing team as husband/wife and parents! There are not words to express how thankful we are for all of our children, our sons in laws and grand children!! At times...I honestly think I'm going to burst with pride !!!!
It was also our first time visiting Scott & Jessica's church called City View...both Kevin and I were so impressed !!!! Very happy that they've found a church they love and are so actively involved there!
Here's some pictures of the dedication...
I couldn't help show this picture...Cohen was getting a little antsy and anyone who is a parent can completely relate to the look on the kids faces :)
It's definitely been a very busy week with the girls starting all their online high school courses and setting up my Virtual Clubs & Classes but it's all good...just busy :)
I made this card a few weeks ago when I was just playing around in my Stampin' Space. I LOVE Gingham anything :) so you can probably guess that the Gingham Garden DSP, Washi Tape and Kind & Cozy stamp set with coordinating Gingham wheel are my favourites !!!! :) :) :)
I just ran the striped embossing folder through twice (in each direction) to get the gingham pattern on my background too :)
Tomorrow is grocery day and Kendall & Quinn weekend !!!!! And oh yeah...Cait & Ben are coming too hahaha :) So I'll probably be MIA over the weekend but I'll have Grand baby pictures to share on Monday! Cohen and Emerson are being dedicated on Sunday so it's a VERY VERY special weekend !!!!
